Abroad: Thailand, Sri Lanka or Vietnam for warm, dry weather, or Dubai during its shopping festival.

March 2027: Holi and Spring

  • 20 to 22 March (Sat to Mon): Holi on Monday.
  • 26 to 28 March (Fri to Sun): Good Friday.

In India: Vrindavan and Mathura for Holi, Coorg for coffee blossom, the Andamans for clear water.

Abroad: Nepal or Bhutan for spring flowers and mountain views, or Japan for the first cherry blossoms in late March.

April 2027: The Summer Starter

  • 15 to 18 April (Thu to Sun): Ram Navami on Thursday; take Friday 16th off.

In India: Sikkim for rhododendrons, Munnar or Ooty to escape the heat, the Kashmir valley in spring.

Abroad: Bali for beaches and rice terraces, Malaysia for good value, Dubai before the summer heat.

May 2027: Peak Summer Retreats

  • 15 to 17 May (Sat to Mon): Bakrid (Eid al-Adha) expected on Monday.
  • 20 to 23 May (Thu to Sun): Buddha Purnima on Thursday; take Friday 21st off.
